About Lowenek
lowenek
adjective
abounding in cheer, gay, happy, joyful, merry
We're a Cotswold morris dancing team based in Falmouth, formed in 2025. Our goal is to have fun, spread joy, and create energetic morris dance performances.
Cotswold morris is a vibrant folk dance featuring stepping and the deft waving of white hankies (and the occasional clashing of sticks). We dress in colourful yellow kit with sashes and bells, and perform dances to traditional folk tunes.
New faces welcome
How do I join?
We'd love for you to join us!
We are a mixed Cotswold morris team, which means we're open to people of all genders. We do have a minimum age of 18 years old, though.
In autumn, winter and spring we practise weekly at Laburnum Hall in Falmouth on Wednesday evenings, between 7:30 and 9:00pm.
In the summer (which begins on the first of May) we dance out in kit!
Please drop us an email before your first visit, to confirm we are practising that evening.
